My Career Insights

As part of our commitment to preparing students for the future, Wantirna College proudly delivers the My Career Insights program, an initiative of the Department of Education. All Year 9 students are invited to complete Morrisby Profiling, a 2.5-hour strengths and interests assessment. This in-depth tool helps students understand their abilities, personal preferences, and potential career pathways.

Key features of the program at Wantirna College include:

• Term 1: Students complete the Morrisby profiling alongside their Mock Interviews.
• Term 2: Each student has a one-on-one interview with a qualified careers practitioner. This session allows them to unpack their profiling results and learn how to use the Morrisby online portal.
• Explore Program: Students are required to log on to their Morrisby profiles during Years 9–12 Explore classes, to reflect on their results and continue researching their pathway options. These reflections also form a valuable foundation for pathways conversations with our careers practitioners.
• Lifetime Access: Students retain lifetime access to their online profile, enabling them to use it as an ongoing resource for career and pathways planning throughout their lives.

We are proud of our strong participation rates, with over 95% of our Year 9 students taking part in this valuable program each year.
