Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC)

At Wantirna College, we understand that the Year 12 journey through VTAC can be exciting but also stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. Our Careers and Pathways team is here to guide students and families through each stage of the process, ensuring that every student feels supported and informed.

Key features of our VTAC program include:

Explore Program introduction: Students receive overviews and guided opportunities to register and begin exploring the VTAC website with the support of careers practitioners and experienced Explore Program teachers.

Individual careers appointments: All Year 12 students meet one-on-one with a qualified careers practitioner throughout the year. These sessions provide personalised advice, guidance, and support with navigating VTAC, researching pathways, and making informed decisions about the future.

Special Entry Access Schemes (SEAS):  Students and families are supported to apply for SEAS, which ensures any disadvantage they have faced is considered in their selection rank for university courses.

Regular communication: Students and families receive ongoing reminders and updates through Teams posts, assemblies, Compass, and newsletters.

Term 2 VTAC Information Evening: A dedicated session to explain the entire VTAC and SEAS process, giving families the chance to ask questions and gain clarity.

ATAR release support: When results are released, our careers practitioners and Senior School team dedicate several days to assisting students. We help them make quick, informed choices while also providing reassurance and support as they manage the emotions and challenges of this critical time.
