Learning Support

We believe that all students have the capacity to learn and develop their skills, and we recognise that students do this at different paces. For this reason, we offer a variety of learning support programs.

Learning Boost & VCE Boost

Learning Boost is a weekly, after-school, supervised homework support program open to all Year 7-10 students.  Students devote time to complete ‘home learning’ tasks in a supported environment, where teachers can offer assistance, guidance and motivation to persist with tasks.

VCE Boost is a weekly, after-school, supervised extended learning program offered to all VCE students. VCE subject teachers attend to provide additional support, challenging students to extend themselves, providing feedback and small group support, and helping to fill knowledge gaps and misconceptions of challenging topics.

Circuit Learning Support

This is a two-year program in years 7 and 8 for students with recognized learning difficulties and additional needs. Students are withdrawn from language classes and are supported for two periods per week to complete class work, prepare for assessments, pre-teaching of content, and receive literacy, numeracy, organizational, and social skills development.
