Year 8-12 Enrolment

Students who are within the local neighborhood area will be accomodated. Places for students outside the area are subject to availability.

Enrolment Process

Wantirna College has a three stage process to enrol students in Years 8-12.  Please see below our procedures for each stage…

Stage One

Parents need to complete the Expression of Interest form and supply the following documentation to establish whether you are within our local neighbourhood:

  • Your residential property/s council rates notice or the contract/lease (to establish whether you are in our local neighbourhood)
  • We will require two utilities bills e.g. water, gas/electricity

We also require academic and wellbeing information for your child to assist us in identifying how we can best support your child:

  • Copy of your child’s latest school report
  • Copy of your child’s latest NAPLAN results
  • Copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Copy of any court orders that may be in place

The Department of Education also requires that we receive a copy of your Visa or Passport if you are moving from overseas.

Once we have received the above information your enrolment will proceed to stage two.

Stage Two

A member of the sub school team will review your expression of interest to ensure we are able to offer a place for your child and will organise a meeting with you and your child to discuss their needs.

The number of vacancies varies significantly from year level to year level, and we will try to accommodate your child where possible.  Students who move into the local meighbourhood area (as defined by the Department) will be prioritised if there are limited places.

The College accepts enrolment applications for Year 10 and 11 at both the start of the year and midyear.  Year 12 applications are considered at the start of the year. It is extremely rare for Year 12 students to be enrolled during the year, unless they have shifted into our local school area.

Stage Three

Once you have confirmation of your place at the College you can organise to attend a tour.  Go to the College Tours page to find out when the next tour will be running.

Please contact the College General Office for an Expression of Interest form.
